20K for the 20th Festival of Bands 2025-2026!

Thank you for caring about the OCFSD Band Program & visiting our Classmunity! It is with great joy that we celebrate the 20th Annual Festival of Bands! Since we always pride ourselves on not charging admission to see your students, we rely on fundraisers like the Festival of Bands Bake Sale to help supplement the budget for the Elementary, Middle and High School Band Programs. Please consider donating a suggested $10 donation to the Classmunity if: - You are not purchasing baked goods from the bake sale - You are enjoying the live stream from home or not able to attend in person - You have the means and are seeing your child for free, and would like to keep OCFSD Concerts as a Free Option for all. RIGHT NOW - The Friends of the OC Band are matching donations up to $5000 - which will be doubled by the Friends of the Oak Creek Band to $10,000!!! Our main fundraiser at Fiserv Forum that raised over $50,000/year for band students ended unexpectedly & without warning last year. While we were able to supplement a large amount of funds by working at American Family Field, as well as running a few new fundraisers - but we are still at about a $20,000 deficit compared to past years. The offerings of the OCHS Band in particular are heavily reliant on Fundraising in order to keep individual student fees low, and still offer the State Recognized program we continue to offer. We are Team 38663, the Pengweenies, a passionate group of young engineers from Oak Creek, Wisconsin, competing in FIRST LEGO League (FLL). Our team took on the 2024 "Submerged" challenge, ranking 4th in the state! Thanks to our hard work, teamwork, and innovative problem-solving, we have earned the incredible honor of representing Wisconsin at the American Robotics Invitational in New Jersey this May. Why We Need Your Support Getting to New Jersey is an exciting but expensive journey. We are seeking financial assistance to help cover: * Travel and lodging expenses for our team members and coaches * Registration fees for the competition * Materials to improve our robot and project presentation Why Sponsor the Pengweenies? Since we always pride ourselves on not charging admission to see your students, we rely on fundraisers like the Festival of Bands Bake Sale to help supplement the budget for the Elementary, Middle and High School Band Programs. If you are not a fan of baked goods, or cannot attend in person, please consider donating to this Classmunity! We are in need of funds to get us through the rest of this year while we continue to come up with a strategic plan for 2025-26SY. Unfortunately this is very needed as our culture of fundraising was heavily reliant on Fiserv Forum Concessions, and even with a band trip - very few people sold things to generate funds for the OC Band... Once again this was completely unexpected and revealed to us the Monday after the State Championships by Fiserv. We are continually planning a strategic plan moving forward in a world without Fiserv - and have some exciting things planned - but we are already feeling the lack of revenue (AND TIPS) from the Fiserv events.
