Fire Station Turnout Gear Dryer (8th Grade STEM Project)

Sawyer and Brock for Mr. Gutbrod's 8th Grade Design and Build Class are building a turnout gear dryer to donate to the Waukesha County Fire department, Station 1. They needed to order some special PVC connectors, wheels, and various other parts to make the turnout gear dryer which total to $250. Please see the video for more info.

8th Grade STEM Community Projects

Alice, Lily, Carson, and Bella (8th graders at Kettle Moraine Middle School in Dousman, WI) are taking on the challenge of designing AND building a product to fulfill a need for a community organization. They are in Mr. Gutbrod's STEM Independent Study class. The purpose of this project is to truly challenge the students! They have been responsible for all aspects of this big undertaking including: identifying the organization they want to help, determining the needs of their customer and needs of the product, generating ideas, designing the product, building the product, budgeting, and fundraising for the project. They have decided to do a Classmunity project for funding purposes. Even the video's script and outline were created by these students. March 16, 6:30PM Show, MS Musical "The Wizard of Oz"

The middle school musical this year is the Wizard of Oz Performances will be held on Friday, March 15 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, March 16 at 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Tickets are $8 each, and students under age 3 are free. YOU WILL NEED TO PRESENT YOUR DIGITAL TICKETS AT THE DOOR IN ORDER TO GET A PHYSICAL TICKET TO ENTER THE THEATER. We will also be raffling off several baskets, and all proceeds will go to the show. Winners will be selected after the Saturday night performance.
